Summary
The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will assist with daily needs in our Real Estate Practice Group under the direct supervision of attorneys in the group as well as supporting attorney and client needs outside this group from time to time.
Responsibilities
Review and abstracting of purchase agreements with attention to critical dates and closing conditions
Review and analysis of title and survey matters
Drafting title review memorandums and title objection letters
Organizing and fulfilling conditions necessary to satisfy title requirements
Obtain EIN
Coordinate UCC/litigation/lien searches
Coordination and finalization of closing statements
Preparation of closing checklist
Proactive attention to post-closing tasks and preparation of closing binders
Prepare escrow agreements and escrow deposits
Researching real property tax and ownership information
Coordinating, conducting, and funding escrow closings
Compliance with escrow instruction letters, including recording and the issuance of final title insurance policies
Manage post-closing details
Requirements
Clear understanding of the escrow and closing process, with knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures within the escrow and title industry.
Strong title and survey review experience preferred
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
Aptitude for detail
Ability to work efficient and to work under pressure
Ability to work well independently and with others
Excellent technology skills, including proficiency with MicroSoft Office Suite, Adobe, and document management system
