A real estate appraiser may also handle investment counseling and work pertaining to oil fields, bridges, skyscrapers, or shopping center construction.
To become a real estate appraiser, one should have a bachelor’s degree. In some cases having taken business administration, economics, real estate, and mathematics courses is a plus for those applying for real estate appraiser jobs. Real estate appraisers with specific training are needed to handle complex types of real estate issues. Having some relevant experience is an added benefit for real estate appraiser job candidates. Experience in architecture, building inspection, construction, or real estate is required to become a real estate appraiser.
